Thymogen is a new immunomodulating drug. The influence of Thymogen on the suppressor activity of T-lymphocytes and the level of lymphocytes gamma-interferon in mice after total irradiation was studied. The experiment was performed on CBA mice exposed to single total x-ray irradiation at a dose of 5 Gy. The results of the study suggested that total irradiation of the animals caused significant disturbances in the functional activity of T-suppressors and considerably reduced the ability of lymphocytes to produce gamma-interferon in response to the mitogen.
